Silver Blades Axel Plaque

The Axel jump is one of figure skating’s most iconic and challenging elements. Unlike other jumps, it takes off from a forward outside edge, requiring an extra half rotation in the air before landing backward. This makes even the single Axel a milestone that many skaters work toward for years.

Landing your First Axel is more than just completing a jump — it’s proof of dedication, persistence, and technical skill. It marks the moment when a skater transitions into a higher level of difficulty and opens the door to more advanced jumps.

For those who go on to land a Double Axel, the achievement is even greater. With two and a half rotations in the air, it demands explosive power, impeccable timing, and nerves of steel.

Here, we celebrate our members who have reached these remarkable milestones. Each name on this list represents countless hours of practice, falls, determination, and the joy of finally landing one of skating’s most celebrated jumps.
