Sharon is a National & International coach. As a head coach, she produced medalists in singles & pairs at the Intermediate through Senior levels at the US National Championships & International competitions. She is a USFS Gold Medalist, PSA Senior FS & National & International PSA Ranking Level.
Sharon Brilliantine

Wendy is a USFS Double Gold Medalist in Singles and Figures, a PSA Master Rated coach in Freestyle, and holds a choreography rating, as well as a Level IV National Ranking. With more than 30 years of coaching experience, she is dedicated to inspiring beginners to embrace the sport she loves and guiding advanced skaters to reach their highest achievements. She has coached skaters at the National and International Level. As a skater, she trained with some of the top coaches in the US and World.

A Minnesota native, Abby was four years old when she first learned to skate outdoors on frozen lakes and ponds. Her passion for skating led to an 11-year competitive career, eventually reaching the Novice level. Abby coached and choreographed programs for skaters through high school and college, and then earned her degree in Magazine Journalism from the University of Missouri. She took a break from skating and coaching to focus on her career and becoming a mom. Abby is excited to be back on the ice, coaching again in Kansas City (and sharing her love for the sport with her own kids!).
Abby Dean

Cassie combines her love of skating with an appreciation for the elegance of body lines it creates. With a strong foundation in ballet and its applications, she brings expertise in technique, creativity, and refinement. She is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm for the sport with others. She has a Novice in Skating Skills and Intermediate in Singles. She competed in qualifying competitions as a skater.

Brie began skating at the age of 5 and has been coaching for over 20 years. With a degree in Clinical Psychology, she enjoys exploring what inspires her students, helping them elevate their skating journey to the next level. Brie has passed her Junior Skating Skills and Novice Singles tests.
Brie Hart

As a former competitive skater and United States Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist in Skating Skills and Singles, Lian brings technical expertise and firsthand experience to the ice.

Her coaching centers on helping skaters discover the love of skating at every stage of their journey. Whether a beginner learning to glide or a competitor refining advanced skills, she strives to create an environment where progress feels exciting and rewarding.

Skating should never feel like just drills and routines; it should be an experience that inspires confidence, resilience, and joy. Her goal is to guide each skater to not only improve technically, but also to carry with them a genuine love for the ice that lasts well beyond their lessons.
Lian Huff

Leah represented Team USA as a synchronized figure skater with the Crystallettes from 1999 to 2002 and competed for Michigan State University at the US Synchronized Skating Championships from 2002 to 2005. She is passionate about working with skaters of all levels, helping them navigate their ice-skating journeys, whether recreationally or competitively.
Leah Karchin

Lydia is a United State Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Singles and Solo Free Dance. She brings over 8 years of coaching experience and takes great joy in sharing her passion for the sport while guiding skaters of all ages.
Lydia McMullen

Kelsey is the Director of Figure Skating at Bluhawk. She competed through the Intermediate level, earned a Gold Medal in Moves in the Field, and skated with a traveling synchronized team. Known for her creativity, Kelsey choreographed programs and ice shows, helping skaters succeed in local competitions.
Kelsey O'Neill

Gunda Pretzel is a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Adult Moves in the Field and has also passed Intermediate Moves in the Field and Adult Silver Free Skate. With over a decade of coaching experience, PSA Basic Accreditation in Freestyle, and a background as an ESOL interventionist and Reading Specialist with a Master’s degree in Special Education, she offers clear communication and a warm, supportive experience for every skater.
Gunda Pretzel

Gabby holds a Gold Medal in Skating Skills and has passed Novice Singles. With 16 years of skating experience and two years of coaching, she specializes in choreography and showcase choreography. A three-time medalist at National Showcase, Gabby enjoys coaching skaters of all ages.
Gabby Rock

Mike has passed United States Figure Skating Senior Skating Skills and Adult Bronze Singles. He holds a BS in Business Administration and a Master's in Business Information Systems. He has been coaching for five years. His focus is on Skating Skills and introducing the fundamentals to skaters from Basic 1 to Pre-Freeskate.
Mike Ryan

​Jan was a Novice-level skater and achieved Bronze in dance. With over 55 years of coaching experience, she has guided skaters to compete at the National level. Jan enjoys working with skaters of all ages, from beginners to those preparing for gold/senior tests.

Junior Coaches

Meet our Junior Coaches. They are high school and college skaters who are developing their coaching skills through hands-on experience and mentorship. They bring energy, relatability, and a strong love of the sport to help inspire and support younger skaters.

Emma Ryan is a US Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Singles, and Solo Free Dance. She has also achieved Silver in partnered pattern dance. Emma began skating when she turned five years old, and has been competing since she was six. She has coached Learn to Skate classes for over five years, and has coached private lessons for a year. She focuses on helping beginning skaters discover all there is to love about the sport. Emma competed in the Excel National Final at the Junior and Senior levels.

Alexis is a USFS Triple Gold Medalist in Singles, Skating Skills and Solo Free Dance. She has experience in competing in the National Qualifying Series (NQS) and had two top 10 finishes in Midwestern Sectional competitions in Novice and Junior. Since Alexis was 7 years old, she has been training under Wendy David and Sharon Brilliantine. She coaches to share the love of the ice, and build a strong foundation for her skaters.
Alexis Snyder

Bridget is a USFS Gold Medalist in Skating Skills and has tested up to Pre-Gold Singles. She has been coaching for three years and has also completed her Coach CORE certification. As a skater, she has eight years of competition experience, including three seasons in the National Qualifying Series and Theatre on Ice Nationals in 2022. Having trained with top coaches from across the country at camps and seminars, she enjoys bringing what she’s learned as an individual skater into her coaching.
