Great News Silver Blades Members! Tickets for our Third Annual Dinner and an Auction are now available! For those of you that haven't attended before, it's an evening full of good food, a great time and the opportunity to purchase fabulous auction items. For those of you that have..... well, you know how much fun it is! You were there! This year's event will be held Saturday, January 23rd in the banquet room at Wil Jenny's. We just couldn't pack all of us into Nick & Jake's anymore! The festivities will begin at 6:00 with a cash bar and socializing. They will bring dinner in around 6:30 and the auction will start at 7:00. We were able to keep ticket prices at $50 again this year which includes your choice of one of 5 entrees, either 2 glasses of house wine or 4 glasses of domestic beer and Wil Jenny's Gooey Brownies for dessert. This event is open to all adult supporters of the Silver Blades! Please invite any family or friends that would like to attend. Tickets make great Holiday gifts... everyone enjoys a good night out on the town and it benefits the Club! See Jodi Cobb, Andrea Melton or Shelly Fenton for tickets. But this event isn't all about the fun and games. Our Dinner and an Auction is the Club's biggest fundraiser of the year and helps subsidize our yearly Club Ice bill. The majority of the funds come from the awesome auction items that are donated. But without these auction items, we don't make much money. We need our members to help locate and get items donated. If you or your employer have goods or services to contribute, we would love to have it. Gift cards from your favorite restaurant are always popular items. Themed baskets are also nice. Anything that others would find of use will be accepted! You would be surprised at the number of people that are willing to help if you just ask! To help you contact potential contributors, an Auction Item Request Letter, explaining who we are and what we are trying to accomplish and an Auction Item Tax Receipt, are located on the Forms and App pages. All donations are tax deductible! And there's something in it for the businesses that donate as well. Their logo and website link will be listed on the special Sponsors Page. We will also advertise their company in the Sponsor Folder, filled with business cards and promotional information, that everyone in attendance takes home. We encourage our members to support the businesses that support us.
